Mohit Pandey, a student of Dudheshwar Vedic University in Ghaziabad, will serve as the main priest (Pujari) at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Mohit Pandey has been chosen as the priest of the Ram Temple. According to information, Mohit studied for seven years and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Shastri from Sri Venkateswara Vedic University affiliated with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Following this, in 2023, Mohit Pandey obtained a Master's degree while studying the Samaveda.
He is also a scholar of the Ramanandi tradition and has expertise in Vedas, Shastras, and Sanskrit. Mohit Pandey has had the opportunity to study under the guidance of Shri Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj, the head of the Dudheshwar Nath Math Temple in Ghaziabad, and also served as an international speaker for the Panch Dashnam Junakhara of Delhi's Sant Mahamandal and the National President of the United Hindu Front.

The consecration of Lord Ram's idol in the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform the ceremony. The appointment of priests for the service of Lord Ram in the temple required interviews with 3,000 Vedic scholars and priests from across the country. Students up to the age of 30 were eligible to participate. After the interviews, 50 students were selected to serve as priests at the Ram Temple, including Mohit Pandey from Dudheshwar Vedic University.
